Ticketing

Ticket types, promo codes, orders, and the waitlist.

Ticketing is registration mode ticketed. Checkout is a public cart: tickets → attendee details → buyer → payment.

Ticket types

Each ticket type has:

  • Name, description
  • Price, or free (is_free forces price to 0)
  • Currency from the registration app (default SGD for gateway validation)
  • Optional capacity
  • Sales window
  • Min per order
  • Visibility
  • Whether to show or hide when sold out (display_out_of_stock)

A ticket is for sale when it is visible, inside its sales window, and either unlimited or has enough remaining quantity for the minimum order.

Access codes can be attached so a type is only redeemable with a code. Used-up codes stop working.

Promo codes

Promo codes (order_promos) discount an order. They can be limited to specific ticket types. Invalid or exhausted codes are rejected on the public cart.

Orders

An order starts as a cart. Completed/paid orders create tickets and attendees. The organizer list hides carts when deciding whether you can leave ticketing mode.

Paid orders send a receipt from the event’s sender address, not a generic Micepad address.

Waitlist

When a type is sold out, people can join the waitlist. Organizers invite waitlisted buyers; invitations are tracked separately from the entry itself.

Check-in only vs ticketing

If you only need door list + badges, use check-in only and import the list. Ticketing is for paid or allocated inventory with an order form.
